Might it be possible to include copies of the relevant header files for the support libraries (iconv through to zdll) in the GIT repo and/or tarballs?

There is a considerable amount of pain involved in acquiring/building/installing matching versions of the lib/dll files on Windows (esp. on Windows!).  Also libstream.dll does not advertise any version information which makes matching just that bit harder :)
