There is a new R package, dbplot [1], which pushes aggregations needed vor viz into the database. This partially works fine with MonetDB[Lite], but most examples [2] fail due to the lack of window aggregate support (min etc.).

So perhaps this is a good reason to implement those. Hint-hint, Solutions.
