Did you check with flex 2.5.33 on some other machine? Which one? And in combination with which bison?
This was on a problem on suse 10.0 (reported bun Jan flokstra). I'm not sure on the bison version, but I'll ask Jan for details.
I recall that there was a problem with an undefined yylineno when using flex 2.5.33 & bison 2.3 on openSUSE 10.2 *Alpha* (as reported by Riham), but was not able to reproduce it on our machines with flex 2.5.33 and bison 2.2 (gentoo) or bison 1.875d (debian).
I'll have a look how to properly fix this. But anyway thats why we have multiplatform testing ;-).
right --- I just wanted to keep you from spending time on finding out which of our testing machines runs which version of flex (and bison) ... I knew them, and hence, I told you ;-) In case Twente (or someone else) continues to experince problems with (compiling and/or running) MonetDB on some platform which is not yet in out testing pool, we should try to find a way to add the respective platform; preferably by being granted access to a respecitve machine "somewhere" (in this case in Twente).
