Hello, This is my first post here. I tried to search the archive but did not find anything related. We build application and would like disable foreign keys in a procedure. Something like: CREATE PROCEDURE crmkartaaktivita_drop_cons() BEGIN -- hlavička procedury DECLARE v_proc VARCHAR(250); SET v_proc = 'crmkartaaktivita_drop_cons'; -- drop ALTER TABLE crmkartastitek DROP CONSTRAINT crmkartastitek_crmkartaaktivita_FK; ALTER TABLE crmkartastitekm DROP CONSTRAINT crmkartastitekm_crmkartaakitvita_FK; END; / I'm getting "Statement 'ALTER_TABLE' is not a valid flow control statement". If MonetDB could use table partition ?

I am using "COPY BINARY INTO ...FROM ..." to insert 1000 FITS files into a table and the table has 21 columns, every FITS file has 200000 records. After some FITS files, the loading becoming very slowly, so If MonetDB could use table partition to accelerating the copy? or if Data Vaults could be loading more quickly? Thanks! Meng

XQuery support in MonetDB

Hi, I want to optimize the runtime of this query Select sum(a.C4), b.C1, b.C2, b.C3 from v1 a, v2 b where (b.C1 = a.C1 and b.C2 = a.C2 and b.C3 = a.C3) or (b.C1 = a.C1 and b.C2 = a.C2 and b.C3 = 0) or (b.C1 = a.C1 and b.C2 = 0 and b.C3 = 0) or (b.C1 = 0 and b.C2 = 0 and b.C3 = 0) group by b.C1, b.C2, b.C3; why I thought of creating a BITMAP index join or create a bitmap index for v1 columns (c1, c2, c3) and v2 (c1, c2, c3). I can't do this with MonetDB can you help me.

International characters in MonetDB

Hello All, I have been trying to do some bulk uploads from CSV files into a MonetDB database. All the fields in the database are VARCHAR. The text in some of the fields contains international characters such as : ü, Ó, é etc. When I execute : copy into database from 'filename.csv' using delimiters ',','\n','"' NULL as ''; I get an error stating that the fields with words containing the international characters could not be imported, and the import process stops. How can I solve this issue? (I am running Monetdb on windows) Thanks, SG
