[MonetDB-users] Loading user-defined mal function on server start

Hi, I'd like to place some MAL functions on the server and make them available asap the server starts. Placing a user.mal in the lib dir did not help. Placing in an existing file tells me that the appropriate module is not loaded and the datatypes I am using in are not available yet. Does that mean, that I have to place the functions when my app starts and opens the connection? Is there a desired way at all like the above?
