Now i'm trying to connect to database from java, is XRPC the way do achieve this?
You can use XRPC to exeucte functions on a remote monetdb/xquery database server. In java, you need to build correct xrpc request message. There is java api to help you build messages, please have a look at here: http://monetdb.cwi.nl/projects/monetdb/XQuery/Documentation/Using-XRPC-from-... A quick introduction of xrpc can be found here: http://monetdb.cwi.nl/projects/monetdb/XQuery/QuickTour/XRPC/index.html To build xrpc request messages and handle response messages, you need to know the massage format, which can be found here: http://monetdb.cwi.nl/projects/monetdb/XQuery/Documentation/XRPC-Extension.h... http://monetdb.cwi.nl/projects/monetdb//download.php?target=/projects/monetd...
i run with --cvs param and seems to go well, still compiling now.
is this correct? or i've to continue with the "manual" process?
The script should do all the magic for you that you need to just prepare the sources to compile them. End result is a compiled binary.
