Is this a bug (as I suspect)? Or is the group by/count distinct operation just slow? If it is a bug, is this fixed in dec-2011? If that is the case, I would like to verify this was fixed for us in dec-2011 - however the last "latest" build I tried was crashing for me. I am not sure which version of dec-2011 I should try for testing this.
Please try the sources from http://dev.monetdb.org/downloads/testing/sources/Dec2011/ If that crashes, we're very interested to know.
