OK, to update, just use apt-get, I will have problems with structure of database? 
I can use the old dbfarm, will be compatible?

Thats a very old version. I recall a fix which we did in the meantime 
related to possible data loss, ie we added extra f(data)sync calls.
Which could very well be the problem on a virtual system.
