That was the problem. I thought I had completely cleaned out the install directory, but it still had old copies sitting around. Thanks.

Looking forward to trying out the new merge/remote table functionality.

Did you clean out the destination directories, i.e. the directories where you installed everything?  It sounds like there are still some old files there.  In particular, monetdb5/autoload/50_rapi.mal and monetdb5/rapi.mal.
