I have created a new DB and imported the data from a back. My concern is
that I dont know what had happend, so it might be possible this could
happend in the future... that day I will try to kill myself :D

I get this error quite often and in most cases, setting the environment variable LC_LANG and LC_ALL has solved this problem. Please try this, but I'm not sure about the exact case of you.

This at least could give you a stack trace where the segfault occurs, which helps in determining the cause.
Furthermore, you might check your free diskspace and the size of the sql_logs directory in the dbfarm/<database>
