[MonetDB-users] MonetDB Indexes and Data Types

Hi All - I'm new to MonetDB and just getting my feet wet. Quick question for the experts. Does the data type of the column impact the performance of the indexes created on the fly by MonetDB? In other words, should I expect WHERE clauses on INT columns to perform faster than VARCHAR like I would in a tradtional row store? Many Thanks, Ross
