This is issue has recently been discussed (see
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=482468&aid=2787825&group_id=56967)
The outcome was that this feature will not (in the near future) be
supported by MonetDB.

Note that if you add the -i option to mclient, and remove the ';' from
the COPY INTO statement, then it should work ;) It might however be
very slow (say unusable slow), as data from stdin is I think still
interpreted on a per line basis.

The original suggestion was to use 'mclient' with the '<' redirect operator I'm assuming like this:
mclient -lsql -s "COPY INTO table from STDIN DELIMITERS '\t';" < recordsfile
but this doesn't work, it wants to interpret the contents of the file as a query... is there no way to batch load from a script from a remote monet instance?
