Ok, thanks!
By the way, when did monetdb provide the ability of automatic recovery? Or from which release?
Hi,
on restart after a crash, MonetDB/SQL is supposed to recover itself from
the crash. There is no option (and should be no need) for any explicit
action.
Please provide a details bug report via
http://bugs.monetdb.org/
in case you experience any problems with crashes or during automatic
recovery of the server on restart after a crash.
To prevent data loss, i.e., in case of disk failure or alike, you might want
to back-up your database regularly, though, either by dumping (e.g., using
the "\D" command in mclient or mclient's "--dump" commanline option), or by
stopping the server an backig up the complete dbfarm using your favorite
(filesystem-) backup software.
