about replica table

Hi, from https://www.monetdb.org/Documentation/Manuals/SQLreference/Tables, there 4 types of tables: normal, merge, remote, replica. For merge and remote table, I found explaining on https://www.monetdb.org/Documentation/Cookbooks/SQLrecipes/DistributedQueryP.... But what is replica table? Any documents? Could somebody help?
