[MonetDB-users] Max Connection Limit

Right now we are hitting the limit of 64 connections to MonetDB. We're working on some middleware that will consolidate those into only 2 or 3 connections, but until we finish it, we need to increase the limit. How do we go about doing that? Thanks, Joseph Brower

On Aug2011, that would mean you'd have to change the source. On Dec2011 you can set it through a monetdb setting for each database. Also, in Dec2011, a basic funnel is provided with monetdbd.

We can upgrade to the Dec2011 version if that's what you would suggest. Is it grabbed from the usual sources? Thanks, Joseph Brower On 01/06/2012 12:41 AM, Fabian Groffen wrote:

Were still in the process of getting it release-worthy, so you'll have to grab the sources from our nightly regression testing system. We should soon reach a state where we're going to release Dec2011, though.

Is there anything we can do to help with it? On 01/06/2012 09:07 AM, Fabian Groffen wrote:

At this stage, a check to see if everything works as expected would be useful. We would like to hear if the Dec2011 branch works at least as well as the Aug2011-SP3 release, but bugs that didn't occur with Aug2011 are also very welcome.

OK. I'll schedule a test run on that version. Do you have a build server or automated packaging server that would give us a nice package to work with or do we need to compile it from source? On 01/06/2012 10:54 AM, Fabian Groffen wrote:

Everything we build (and that's usable outside of the build machines) can be found in behind the "files" links on [1]. That's basically windows binaries. All else, you'll have to compile from source, using [2]. [1] http://monetdb.cwi.nl/testweb/web/status.php [2] http://monetdb.cwi.nl/testweb/web/MonetDB-Dec2011-latest.tar.bz2
