[MonetDB-users] Loading user-defined mal function on server start
Hi, I'd like to place some MAL functions on the server and make them available asap the server starts. Placing a user.mal in the lib dir did not help. Placing in an existing file tells me that the appropriate module is not loaded and the datatypes I am using in are not available yet. Does that mean, that I have to place the functions when my app starts and opens the connection? Is there a desired way at all like the above? Thx, Mike -- <NO> OOXML - Say NO To Microsoft Office broken standard http://www.noooxml.org

I'm not sure if this will solve your problem, but you can give scripts as arguments on your mserver5 invocation, which means they are directly executed after startup.

If above doesn't help, you could try to hack the default startup script, but that that's unsupported, and I don't know off the top of my head where it is.
