[MonetDB-users] Tutorial for database scripting language MIL?
Hi all, Does someone have a tutorial for the database scripting language MIL? I am currently checking pftijah.mx, but I am wondering whether there is a better option than trying to reverse engineer things. Thanks, junte

All the information about MIL is online. Be aware that this interface is deprecated. http://monetdb.cwi.nl/projects/monetdb/MonetDB/index.html http://monetdb.cwi.nl/projects/monetdb/MonetDB/Version4/index.html

I found Peter Boncz' PhD thesis and the VLDBJ journal article "MIL Primitives For Querying A Fragmented World" helpful to understand some of the ideas behind MIL. Be aware, however, that the language has changed over time, such that many of the examples won't work in a current MonetDB instance. Jens -- Jens Teubner, teubner@us.ibm.com
