For that reason, I installed a new fresh monetdb version Aug2018-SP1 (11.31.11) and try to open the same database with the error I mentioned first.

So now, Im not able to access the DB...

Do you have an idea what can I do?

The 'wrd' type was removed in the Dec2016 release. In that release and in the Jul2017 releases there was upgrade code to convert a database that had the 'wrd' type. This code was no longer available in the Mar2018 release.

What you might be able to do is install a Dec2016 or Jul2017 version (11.25.X or 11.27.X) and update the database. Then install the Aug2018 version (11.31.X) and update again. Maybe going through all releases Dec2016-SP5 (11.25.23), then Jul2017-SP4 (11.27.13), then Mar2018-SP1 (11.29.7), and finally Aug2018-SP1 (11.31.11) is even better.
