[MonetDB-users] Feb2010 64 bit starts and immediately stops on Windows
Hi dear MonetDB people, I built MonetDB 64 bit on Windows from the Feb2010 branch today. Everything ran fine, but when I start the server, after seeing the normal output, it immediately dissapears. Here's the output: # MonetDB server v5.18.0, based on kernel v1.36.0 # Serving database 'demo', using 1 thread # Compiled for i686-pc-win32/64bit with 32bit OIDs dynamically linked # Found 1.999 GiB available main-memory. # Copyright (c) 1993-July 2008 CWI. # Copyright (c) August 2008-2010 MonetDB B.V., all rights reserved # Visit http://monetdb.cwi.nl/ for further information #warning: please don't forget to set your vault key! #(see C:\MonetCVS_base_Feb10\MonetCVS64_cleanBuild\Install\etc\monetdb5.conf) # Listening for connection requests on mapi:monetdb://127.0.0.1:50000/ # MonetDB/SQL module v2.36.0 loaded Building MonetDB 32 bit works just fine. Thanks. -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Feb2010-64-bit-starts-and-immediately-stops-on-Windows... Sent from the monetdb-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
Hi Alex, the same problem appears to occur with our nightly testing on the CVS development trunk (HEAD) since Nov 11 2009 (i.e., after checkins on Nov 10 2009), and is hence also the case in the Feb2010 release branch. Cf. http://monetdb.cwi.nl/Development/TestWeb/Candidate/MonetDB5/index.html -> 'Shortened "cross-check-list"' -> 'Windows6.0 I.64.64.d.1' i.e., http://monetdb.cwi.nl/testing/projects/monetdb/Candidate/MonetDB5/.mTests103... http://monetdb.cwi.nl/testing/projects/monetdb/Candidate/MonetDB5/.Int.64.64... Focussing our internal development on Linux, we have not yet been able to take care of this 64-bit Windows problem, but we will make sure that it does work before we release the Feb2010 version of MonetDB. Sorry for the inconveniences this might (have) cause(d). Stefan On Thu, Feb 04, 2010 at 07:44:01AM -0800, Alex Bo. wrote:
