Hi Andy, PCRE and OpenSSL are the most recently added requirements for MonetDB and we have apparently forgotten so far to add them to our documentation at http://monetdb.cwi.nl/projects/monetdb//MonetDB/Documentation/Linux-Installa... We'll soon update our documentation accordingly. Most other requirements listed there should be standard on a reasonably installed Linux development system. Hence, once you installed OpenSSl,, you should be done --- otherwise, calling monetdb-install.sh one more time is indeed "inconvenient", but not too much of a problem, is it? ;-) We do provide binary packages for Ubuntu 9.04 (also known as "Jaunty"); cf., http://monetdb.cwi.nl/downloads/Ubuntu/ I cannot tell, though, whether they also work for Ubuntu "Intrepid" ... First, after I ran the install script, I got an error saying that I need to install PCRE. After installing PCRE, I tried running the script again and then got an error saying that I need to install OpenSSL.
