Hi, I`m trying to use tomograph for a query analysis. But unlike stethoscope it doesn`t work. I start the tomogroph with tomograph -u monetdb -d exomate, just like in the tutorial. After that I start a mclient with mclient -u monetdb -d exomate and execute the query. But tomograph triggers no output until I quit it with CTRL+C and when I try to gnuplot the file file, I only get errors because there is no valuable data. Could you maybe tell me what I am doing wrong? I`m using MonetDB 11.19.15. Regards, Martin

Tomograph produces the gnuplot file after seeing a complete query. During startup of mclient a few internal queries are already executed. try 1) start mclient, 2) start tomograph, 3) enter single SQL query in mclient window. In case of trouble use -D to see interaction. Unlike stethoscope, it ignores all output until it finds the start of a SQL query. So starting it after the query has been started leads to no effect. Hi, i tried it like you explained it, but it doesn`t work. With the -D option I only get one output:"Tomograph: db exomate filename tomograph“ and after that it asks me for the password. But nothing more. Something seems wrong. Martin

For sure, you need the same information as mclient to log on. it needs user id and password to establish a connection with the server before it will receive tracing output On 02/08/15 21:21, Martin Schwitalla wrote:
