I've filed bug 1833800. It was reported in passing in a previous thread that the python client isn't getting the acutal errors. A fix for this wonderful! thanks much, matt

Indeed a problem. On which version did you try this? I did some fixes a few days after the release. Not sure if they are enough or more work is needed? Niels

Great, I'm looking forward to playing with the fixes. I'm still on the 5.2 release. [With Thanksgiving and traveling coming up] I probably won't get around to the nightly builds until next week. -matt

I've applied the changes to CMapi.py by hand and they seemed to fix this! Thanks much.
