I think it could be considered as a unique selling point for MonetDB. Maybe the website should highlight this more and improve new user’s confidence level (indexes are not missing features but tuned automatically (how?)…., etc.).

General advice, hire a working student and have her or him revamp the website 😃 It is a little more than the website. It is writing a new 'book' of about 300 pages. And that's also why we have the support organisation to fund it, based on organisations taken a bet on MonetDB in their service offerings.
