I have a questions regarding MonetDB readiness for 24h per day production server usage: 1. Does it have any method for online (hot) full backup? Manual says about database dumps via mclient. Are they intended only for database transporation? Can I perform online backup via dump? What about data modifications/uncommited transactions during dump? 2. What about incremental backups? It seems MonetDB have some kind of transaction logs? How can I use them? 3. Does it have any defence against unexpected server crash? Manual says that checkpoint/recovery facility exists, but still not completely implemented/tested? 4. In the case of server crash and database corruption - how can I return database to consistent state? Does it have any tool like myisamchk for MySQL? Thank you. -- Arthur Suilin
